HISTORY

J8 Equipment Company was founded in 1957 by Ted Muller as a rep agency and supply point for Texaco’s fuel equipment needs in the Colorado market. After one location change due to the South Platte flood of 1965 J8 has remained in the same location for over 40 years. In 1990 J8 Equipment Company was purchased by the current owners, Fred Seymour and Tom Green. With over 40 years of combined experience, Fred and Tom have continued to provide equipment and service for petroleum and fueling solutions throughout the Rocky Mountain region. Staffed by a knowledgeable and tenured workforce, J8 has continued to evolve with their customers ever changing needs in petroleum equipment and service.

One significant change involved one of our major fueling equipment suppliers. After over 40 years with Tokheim, J8 is now affiliated with Dresser Wayne fuel equipment. Wayne’s purchase of Tokheim and the partnership with J8 allowed the company to move forward as Wayne quickly became the leader in dispenser technology, innovation and product development. J8 Equipment Company has continued to grow their petroleum sales and service business as a distributor for many of the leading petroleum industry companies. This growth prompted the company to increase the number of in-field technicians to service our customer needs. J8 currently has service technicians throughout the state to quickly and effectively service your equipment problems. To keep pace with the ever changing marketplace J8 embarked on finding other businesses that would complement our current area of expertise and service the needs of our customers. Utilizing their expertise in Canopy and Lighting Design in 2003 J8 Equipment branched out into the Custom Architectural Exterior Building finishes business.

In 2002 J8 Equipment Company became the distributor for the Oasis product line of touch free car wash systems. Managed by Gary Mills, the partnership between J8 and Oasis Car Wash Systems has grown. Designed for C-Store and Investor Wash applications, the Oasis Car Wash system is one of the top performing car wash systems on the market. The success of our current car wash locations proves the speed, simplicity and efficiency of the system. There are a number of Front Range locations operating in both C-Store and Investor Wash applications. Since 1957 J8 Equipment Company has provided equipment and service for all facets of both retail and commercial fuel systems throughout the Rocky Mountain region and we continue to expand and refine our approach to supplying and servicing everything from fuel equipment, canopies, re-imaging packages to top of the line carwash systems. We are dedicated to providing our clients with innovative high-quality products and services. J8 Equipment Company maintains current industry standards and environmental regulations awareness by membership with the CWPMA – Colorado-Wyoming Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association and the PEI - Petroleum Equipment Institute.
